If you are looking to package wet parts in Valdamark VCI products, you should anticipate a certain amount of corrosion to occur.  The level of corrosion will depend on the time taken for the active corrosion-inhibiting molecules to cover the whole package enclosure, the corrosion-inhibiting effectiveness of the VCI system design, the level of moisture on the product, and the contamination of the water itself.

VCI products are effective at preventing metal parts from corroding in moist conditions, however, they cannot reverse any existing damage caused by moisture.  VCI products should be used as soon as possible after parts become wet to minimize further corrosion and extend the life of metal components.
