Heat sealers are usually straightforward pieces of equipment. To troubleshoot your machine, you should check that it is plugged in correctly and that there is no air-lock around the sealing element.

If the sealer motor works but does not heat, then the thermal switch may be defective. You can remedy this by replacing or adjusting the thermal switch . If the heating element is burnt out or faulty, you need to replace it with a manufacturer-approved replacement part.
